“At Xmas 2007 I was getting increasingly worried about my weight. As someone who had always been very slim, I was over 12 st with a medium build (5ft 6) and situation was making me feel slightly nauseous, especially with the onset of my wedding in eight months.
As a desperate yo yo dieter and someone that reluctantly flirts with exercise very sporadically, I decided to finally do some thing about it!! So I searched the internet after reading an article in a magazine about the use of kettle bells in sports training, which I thought could be something that might possibly help me.
I chanced upon Jamie Lloyd as he is local to me, and promptly booked some personal training sessions as he had a great attitude and was so professional.
I really enjoyed the kettle bell sessions with Jamie, I was particularly impressed with his level of care and attention to his clients. He is dedicated to safety and beyond careful when it comes to form when training which is extremely reassuring.
After having a conversation with Jamie, as to what my goals were very early on in our kettlebell sessions, he was incredibly encouraging. He said that it wouldn’t be a problem to shift any extra weight I had at that point and could help me feel better about myself by exercising to be healthy and happy.
Jamie gave me a fantastic Detoxification Diet which I followed religiously. Please note, it wasn’t hard to follow as Jamie gave some great recipe advice along with a push in the right direction when it came to lifestyle choice. I then did the diet along with his personal training sessions and extra spin sessions at my gym, and was astounded to see the results I had been hoping for.
I am going to be straight with you, I followed the diet to get the initial weight off, then I slacked a few times on the diet whilst on holiday, but always kept up the exercise by doing group sessions with Jamie and a bunch of lovely like minded girls once a week. Then a month before the wedding, I went straight back on the diet again.
I have now gone from what is realistically 12 st 4lbs (I had been lying to myself for a while) to what I currently am which is 9 stone 10. That is a total loss of 2 st 8lbs!
I am 3lbs from my target weight . . . and with 2 weeks until the wedding so I am right on schedule!!!

“Training with Jamie has been the best thing I have done for myself in a long time. Having trained regularly with Jamie for the past few months and through the use of Kettlebells and using Jamie’s KettleFIT system, I can now run longer, my muscles are more toned, and my upper body strength has improved-my body shape has totally transformed! I don’t even get any back pain anymore. Mentally, I feel fresher, brighter and altogether more switched on and satisfied with life. Jamie has pushed me further than I ever dreamt. Each session is exciting and different. He definitely gets the best out of you and he ensures that you have good technique. “Having spent hours in the gym and trying so many different types of diets, I reached a point where I was so fed up and started seriously considering liposuction. “Working with Jamie for the past 6 weeks has been a life changing experience.
Before I started with Jamie I was frustrated, unmotivated, negative and a regular gym-dropout. Within a couple of weeks I was looking forward to exercising each day and really enjoying the clean and healthy detox diet. Now, at the end of my 6 weeks, I nearly bounce out bed to get to Wimbledon Common, my work colleagues comment on how sparkly and healthy I look and best of all………I have lost 4 kgs!!! My entire body shape is changing and I need to shop for some smaller clothes. I never thought that could happen in 6 weeks.
Jamie has a friendly and supportive manner when working with us. His attitude keeps every session light and fun while at the same time encouraging us to challenge ourselves and work off those calories. The Bootcamp style of training has been brilliant – working with other girls with similar goals makes me feel less alone in my quest to burn fat. Means lots of laughs and giggles too with the odd grunt of determination thrown in.
Jamie’s workout program is simple and easy to manage, based on using my own bodyweight for resistance. This has made a huge difference for me as I am able to do it all in my backyard (so no-one can watch!) with no equipment at all. Kettlebells added another dimension to our sessions with Jamie – doing what appear to be simple exercises become fatburning wonders. Who would have thought swinging a weight around our body or through your legs could do so much!
I have done diets and workout programs many times but Jamie is what has made the difference this time. Right from his initial emails, he helped me to believe in myself and the potential I had for burning off that fat.
Leading up to the last couple of sessions with Jamie I realised how much I will miss working with him and the other girls. I have never felt so determned to burn fat so we have arranged to continue on our sessions for another few weeks. I am going to purchase my own kettlebell to enhance my home workouts too.
For anyone that feels that they are beyond repair, beyond the point of return I am proof that this is not true. I am still shocked at how far I have come and cannot thank Jamie enough for his encouragement and motivation over the past 6 weeks”.

The dynamic movements and the variety of exercises make the routines really interesting, and they can be combined into small circuits to exercise different muscles.
